Goloso El Cotillo

Goloso is our favourite bakery in El Cotillo! And we’re not the only ones who love this little French bakery… the queue on Sunday mornings speaks for itself.

At Goloso, you can get baguettes and fresh bread as well as lots of sweet treats. It’s hard to walk past the display case without picking up some croissants, raspberry tarts or a triple chocolate slice. If you’re not so keen on sweet things, you can choose a typical Spanish bocadillo with tuna spread or Serrano ham & cheese, or a typical French quiche. The coffee at Goloso is also particularly good, and at the fruit bar you can mix your own perfect freshly squeezed juice.

The interior is rather simple and unadorned. You sit on long, dark wooden benches, and there are also a few seats outside.

There is a second branch in Lajares, right at the entrance to the village. It has a cosier atmosphere and is always full of locals drinking their morning cortado.
