Our surf instructor Angie introduces herself

Aloha FreshSurfers!

Some of you may already know me – I’ve been part of the FreshSurf team for over 2 ½ >>years now – but it’s never too late to introduce yourself again.

My name is Angie, I was born in America but grew up in Germany. I caught the travel bug early on, and my backpack & I travelled the world for quite a while. Outdoor sports were always on the agenda, though mostly in the mountains – until one day someone put me on a surfboard . Since that day I’ve been living by the sea and throwing myself into the waves every day. By chance, 3 ½ years ago I landed on Fuerte with my faithful companion Rainbow (a Chilean beach dog) and fell in love with the island and its waves. One day, crusted with salt on my way back from the beach, I dropped by FreshSurf and asked if they happened to need a surf instructor. I started the next day – the rest is history. Sometimes things in life just fit. Every day I try to pass on my love & respect for the sea, its waves and surfing to my students. I’m lucky enough to live and work here on Fuerte all year round. Every now and then, though, when wanderlust strikes again, I head off with my own project NOMB Surf and explore hidden waves, places and cultures with my students.

I’m looking forward to jumping into the waves with you soon. True to the motto: Ripshred!!!

See you soon, yours, Angie

All the love to you – our favourite rubia
