If you surf, have long hair and have ever surfed with your hair down, you may be familiar with the problem:
Gone is the idea of stepping out of the water as sexy Halle Berry – instead you just look like a seawater-soaked mop 😉
The boxer braid or French braid
For these hairstyles, divide the front section of hair into three strands. For the boxer braid (left), place the outer strand UNDER the middle strand and always add a small strand when braiding. For the French braid (right), always place the outer strand OVER the middle strand. At the end, secure the plait with a plait elastic and even the biggest waves won’t affect your hair.
The sporty herringbone plait
For this hairstyle, first tie a high ponytail. Divide it into two halves. Now place a thin strand from each side on top of the other until you have a finished herringbone braid. Now secure everything with a plait elastic and your hair will look great and stay in place for your next surf session.
Boxerbraids for medium-length hair
This hairstyle is great for medium-length hair and is quick to create: Create a center parting and braid a boxer braid on each side. Once you’ve reached the nape of your neck, secure both braids with an elastic band.
The sporty ponytail
For this hairstyle, take your front section of hair and divide it into three strands. Then braid the boxer braid as in the example above – but only up to the back of your head. Now secure all your hair in a ponytail. Done! 😉
