When FreshSurf started, we gave surf lessons ourselves.
Over time, we have realized that the greatest added value for our guests does not lie in doing everything ourselves.
We can offer you more with local partnerships on site.

Some guests start in a group course to learn the basics. Others opt directly for private coaching. Many combine both.

Our aim is not for you to ” know how tosurf a bit ” after a surf course.
After about five days of surfing lessons you should:
- understand how waves are created
- Recognize the right spot
- enter the water safely
- be able to continue practicing independently

You have the knowledge and skills to continue learning to surf on any beach in the world.

FreshSurf does not run its own surf school. Instead, we work with selected local surf schools and private surf coaches to find the right surf course for every guest.
Can I learn to surf on Fuerteventura as a beginner?
Yes, many of our guests are standing on a surfboard for the first time. The courses are structured in such a way that you are introduced to surfing step by step.
Is material included?
Yes, board and wetsuit are included in the price and can be used for coaching. If you have your own equipment, we would recommend that you use it.
How long does it take to learn to surf?
The first signs of progress are often visible after just a few days. After about five course days, many surf students have enough knowledge to continue practicing on their own.
Are there also private surf coaching sessions?
Yes, private surf coaching is ideal if you want to work specifically on your technique or experience a surf course as a couple or family.
