Fuerteventura ‘s airport, marked FUE, is located near the capital Puerto del Rosario. Puerto is only about a 4-hour flight from most major European cities.

Some airlines only offer flights to Lanzarote. From there, you can easily and cheaply take the bus to Playa Blanca and from there take the ferry to Fuerteventura.
How do I get to El Cotillo?
The nearest airport is Puerto del Rosario.
From there, you can reach El Cotillo in around 40 minutes by rental car or shuttle.

If you would like to take a cab from Fuerteventura airport, this will cost around €75. The journey takes approx. 40 minutes. After 10 pm it costs approx. 110 € from the airport to El Cotillo.

The airport shuttle is not included in our prices and can be booked separately if required. The trip to El Cotillo is usually carried out by our cooperation partner and can take up to 2 hours or longer, depending on the route and number of passengers. Therefore, please allow for some waiting time, advance notice and food and drink on the way.

The cheapest way to get from the airport to El Cotillo is by bus and costs around €6. First take line 3 to Puerto del Rosario and then change to line 7 to El Cotillo. The entire journey takes around 1.5 hours, depending on the connection. In El Cotillo, get off at the bus station “Parada Preferente de Guaguas – D. Pedro Hernández Morales” bus station.
Our recommendation
If you want to be flexible during your stay, we recommend renting a car.
This means you can reach surf spots, beaches and places like Lajares or Corralejo at any time.
If you like it more relaxed, a shuttle is a good alternative.
