Arrival
Most guests land at Puerto del Rosario airport in the north of the island. From there, you can reach El Cotillo in around 40-50 minutes by rental car or shuttle.

The airport shuttle is not included in our prices and can be booked separately if required. The trip to El Cotillo is usually carried out by our cooperation partner and can take up to 2 hours or longer, depending on the route and number of passengers. Therefore, please allow for some waiting time, advance notice and food and drink on the way.

Cost: The cab to Corralejo is around €30, to the airport around €50.

FAQ’s
ATMs
Card payments work almost everywhere. There are several ATMs in Cotillo, at the “LaCaixa” bank, at the entrance to the village in front of Dragon China and at the Hotel Coral Beach.
Drinking water
You can theoretically drink the tap water, but it tastes a lot like chlorine. It is desalinated and treated seawater. Some apartments have a water filter, otherwise you would “unfortunately” have to buy water in 5 or 8 liter canisters in the supermarket.
Sun cream
The sun is stronger than many expect. Apply plenty of cream, especially on cloudy days and when you go out on the water.
Wind
Wind is our faithful companion here on Fuerteventura. Especially in summer, from mid-June to mid-September, it can be very windy, as the trade wind blows almost constantly.
