That’s exactly how Johanna’s photo journey began. It was supposed to be just a few photos for a website – and suddenly there wasn’t only a horse in front of the camera, but a whole new chapter of her life.

And honestly? We love stories like this. Because they show how much magic happens when you simply get going. Or in Johanna’s case: start shooting.

How “let me give it a try” turned into a passion

Johanna wasn’t looking for a new hobby – but sometimes the hobby finds you.
A photo workshop here, a new camera there, a few horse shoots for a website… and that was it: photography and Johanna became a thing.

Over time the first requests for photo shoots came in, the passion grew, her eye for detail got sharper and the wish to capture real moments became ever clearer.

Her camera became her constant companion – on walks, on travels and of course on Fuerteventura, the place closest to her heart.

Fuerteventura – the light that changes you

Maybe you know it yourself: this island simply grabs you. Fuerteventura is wild, soft, rough and at the same time incredibly kind to your soul.

For Johanna, the island has long since become a second home – and her best muse.
The light, the sea, the volcanic landscape: it’s as if every day here has its own film look that just wants to throw itself into your lens.
