Surf Coaching in Fuerteventura with Daniele
Structured Progression
Focused Improvement
A clear plan for your surfing—instead of ten tips all at once.
Daniele guides you from your very first day in the water all the way to an advanced level of surfing.
The focus isn’t on cramming as much as possible into a single session, but on figuring out what’s really helping you improve right now—and working specifically on that.
MEET DANIELE
“I know what it feels like when your mind wants to surf—but you still have a bit of respect for the ocean.”
Daniele’s first encounter with surfing was anything but relaxing.
As a child, he got caught in a powerful wave close to shore and was tumbled around underwater for what felt like a long time. The experience stayed with him and left him feeling uneasy about the ocean for years.
It wasn’t until later, on Fuerteventura, that he gradually found his way back. That experience continues to shape how he coaches to this day.
Safety, a feel for the water, and confidence are the foundation. Technique comes on top of that.
SURF COACH DANIELE.
Where are you at with your surfing right now?
No two surfers learn the same way.
That’s why our coaching doesn’t start with a set program, but with you: your skill level, your experience, your goals, and what you need in the water right now.
You want to get off to a safe start
You don’t just want to get up as quickly as possible—you want to understand how to move in the water, fall safely, and control your board.
You still feel unsure
Waves, other surfers, or getting tossed around sometimes throw you off.
Daniele will help you build more calm and confidence in the water.
You want to make targeted progress
You already surf, but feel like you’re stuck at certain points.
Then it’s all about technique, positioning, timing, wave selection, and—if appropriate—video analysis.
Foundations. Feedback. Care.
Three principles guide how Daniele structures his surf coaching.
Foundations
First, the basics. Then, the next step.
Water feel, safety, board position, timing, or technique: Before adding anything new, you need to get the fundamentals right.
Feedback
One focus instead of five areas to work on.
Daniele doesn’t correct everything at once. He first identifies the aspect that has the greatest impact on your surfing. Only once that’s sorted out does he move on to the next one.
Here’s how your surf coaching
sessions
work in Fuerteventura
Each session is tailored to your skill level, the conditions, and the specific area where you want to improve.
1. Understanding the Spot & Conditions
The time and spot depend on the tide, conditions, and your skill level. Daniele will explain what’s happening in the water today and what you should keep an eye out for.
2. Set a Focus
Instead of working on everything at once, decide on the most important point for your session.
3. Surf, get feedback, try again
You surf, get specific feedback, and put it into practice right away on the next wave.
4. Get out of the water with a plan
In the end, you’ll know what has improved—and what’s next.
3–5-DAY COACHING
Spanning several days, individual sessions become a genuine process.
A single session can make a big difference.
With a multi-day surf coaching session on Fuerteventura, however, each session can build on the previous one.
That’s why Daniele recommends at least three days— five is ideal if you want to work on your surfing in a structured way.
Your coaching doesn’t start at the water’s edge.
Personal Coaching Roadmap
Before we get started, we’ll take a look at your skill level, experience, goals, and current challenges.
Structured Progression
Each session has a clear focus and builds on the previous one.
Final Assessment
At the end, you’ll receive a personalized assessment that includes your progress, technical points, exercises, and recommendations.
Progression Map
Daniele uses his own system consisting of seven stages of development, which shows you where you stand and what you can work on next.
STEP BY STEP
Step by step instead of all at once.
The Progression Map helps you assess your current level and identify the next logical step in your development.
BEYOND THE WATER
Some things you have to see to understand them.
In the water, a movement often feels completely different than it looks from the outside. Video analysis makes position, gaze, timing, and movement patterns visible—and thus easier to understand. Depending on the spot, conditions, and coaching duration, Daniele works with GoPro, camera, or drone footage.
Video Analysis
On video, we can see your position, posture, timing, and movements from an outside perspective.
We identify what’s already working—and where a small adjustment can make a big difference.
And what if the conditions aren’t right?
Then a good coaching session doesn’t necessarily have to take place in the water.
Depending on the situation, surfskating, mobility exercises, proprioceptive training, or dryland exercises for the takeoff might be more effective.
The goal is progress—not getting wet at any cost.
